Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are both interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez this summer, according to ESPN.
Sources indicate that the two clubs are exploring a potential move for the Argentine striker in the upcoming transfer window. PSG are reportedly prepared to sell Portuguese forward Goncalo Ramos and use the proceeds to fund a bid for Alvarez, with an initial offer expected soon.
Arsenal view Alvarez as a top priority to strengthen their attack and are also ready to begin negotiations. The 26-year-old’s contract with Atletico Madrid runs until 2030, and Transfermarkt values him at €90 million. The Madrid club is said to be reluctant to part ways with the Argentine.
Barcelona previously attempted to sign Alvarez but failed to reach an agreement with Atletico.
This season in La Liga, Alvarez has made 29 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
